What is the Content Library?

The Content Library is where you can store your CRM documents that are not specific to a record.

Learn how you can benefit from using the documents within the content library and the storage you have available based on your plan.  

To access your CRM Content Library follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your Benchmark CRM account.
  2. Click on the Options icon.
  3. Select Content Library.

What is the Content Library?

There are two folders available in the content library:

  • Public Documents – This folder is shared by all CRM users. All files inside are accessible to any CRM user, unless they are restricted by their profile.
  • Private Documents – This folder is only seen and accessible by you, the logged in user.  All files inside are private to you.

You can see additional folders on the Content Library from your dashboard. These folders include:   

  • Any private folder you’ve created
  • Any public folders created by fellow CRM users
  • Any shared folder that is shared to you via the folder’s permissions

Total plan storage

Storage is the space occupied on the Benchmark CRM servers for any:

  • documents/files stored the Product Requirements: Content Library folders
  • documents/files attached to Messages
  • documents/files attached to CRM records

Your total plan storage capacity is determined by the following:

Paid Plans

  • Included Plan Storage of 1GB + 512mb for each paid license for all users of the account to share
  • Any additional paid storage you have subscribed to. Paid storage is available in 4GB units

All Free/Free Trial Plans

  • Included Plan Storage of 512mb for all users of the account to share

The following file types are allowed in the content library:

  • txt
  • doc
  • docx
  • xls
  • xlsx
  • pdf
  • jpg
  • png
  • tif
  • zip
  • rar
  • csv
  • ods
  • rtf


  • Record count and the space occupied by your database (Data Storage) is NOT counted in file storage.
  • The current maximum file limit size to upload is 25 mb per file. You can upload as many files as you wish and up to your total plan storage capacity.
